Privacy Indicators places a visible alert on your Android device whenever an app or service accesses the camera. It also signals microphone activity, helping you notice recording access while using other applications. The alerts provide a quick way to identify camera or microphone use that might otherwise happen outside your immediate attention.

The app brings the recording-indicator concept introduced with iOS 14 to Android, while adding controls for its appearance and behavior. You can choose the indicator color and where it appears on the screen. Haptic feedback can be enabled so the phone vibrates when an indicator is shown. Camera and microphone indicators can also be switched off independently when you want to adjust which events are monitored.

Privacy Indicators suits people who want a clear visual or tactile cue during calls, recordings, media use, or ordinary app sessions. It is an open-source Android application in the Security & Privacy category, and its service must be enabled through Accessibility Settings for monitoring to function. The service continues running in the background and starts again after the device restarts, with version 2.2 supporting Android 7.0 and later on universal architecture.
